The idea of "The Peacock CommuniTEA House" has been birthed out of a desire to see a return of culture, creativity and community to the south side of Longview, Tx. Often viewed as the less desirable part of town, we want to be a part of the solution and bring new business and a stronger sense of community to the neighborhood we call home.
Dana's love of chai (the Hindi word for "tea"), combined with her appreciation of all things organic and wholesome, a desire to educate families on health and wellness, and a love for all things colorful and creative, is leading her to seek out ways she can use her passions to benefit the lower-income part of the community.
The Huber Family is currently in the process of dreaming, researching, planning and preparing for the long journey ahead. We've chosen to share this process with you from the very beginning because we hope this wonderful East Texas community will come together to make it happen. We'll share in the struggles, the obstacles, the victories and the successes because it's not about us starting up a business to do what we want and make a few bucks, it's about us coming together, working together, playing together and living together to support and care for one another.
